Information & Evidence

Information is what you want evaluated: a claim, proposed answer, summary, or other statement.

Evidence is the material against which that information is evaluated. Supply at least one evidence item; Ivorleaf does not automatically search for missing evidence.

Inline evidence

Without a supported source URL, evidence.text is supplied evidence material:

{"text":"The chemical formula for water is H2O."}

Source-backed evidence

Nonblank evidence.text is evaluated unchanged, including when source metadata is present. Only explicit acquire requests server Source Inspection. Do not combine text and acquire. Acquisition failure fails closed without substituting caller text.

Information is decomposed into canonical material units. Each relationship connects one such unit with one independent canonical evidence item. Duplicate evidence is traceable but does not create independent corroboration or additional VUs.

The caller supplies information and evidence references. Ivorleaf determines support; it does not generate evidence for an empty request. See the request contract.
